In Chile, when someone turns to use something that has not used in a long time, says he will secure moths.
Well, sure are coming moths by rewriting an entry in this blog after over 2 years. Many things have happened in between (I got married, I moved house, I have traveled to more countries).
reference this entry a. .. moths. I do not think that is because I went back to write here, but Santiago is full of moths. In fact, it's full of moths, but my concept of butterfly is much nicer than those other bicharraco, so I'll use the expression commonly call them in Chile.
Debo reconocer que hasta hace un tiempo sentía cierta simpatía por estos bichos que torpemente buscan cualquier fuente de luz (y por consiguiente de calor) para acercarse y quemarse las patas y las alas, pero ya no. Debido a que hay exceso de ellas, cualquier amabilidad de mi parte quedó de lado. Ya no soy ese ser amable que iba apagando y prendiendo luces, guiando su camino fuera de mi departamento. Ahora simplemente las elimino con lo que haya a mano. Lo que aun tengo que soportar es escuchar sus torpes golpes contra el vidrio al tratar de entrar.
Les dejo una foto de una megapolilla que encontré estacionada fuera del departamento. Medía por lo menos 6 cms.
Espero volver to write more often ... will not collect moths again.
